Last post was about goals. This one? My week.
I'd like to collect some thoughts on this so please feel free to leave comments. Or email me!
What I've done is basically said the following:
- I need to get ready for the 3 sports, Riding,Running and Skiing
- I want to do my long aerobic efforts on the bike to reduce impact stress
- I need to run 3 times a week.
- I need to build upper body/ski strength
So here's what the week will roughly look like. Length of sessions and intensity will vary over time
Sunday - Long Ride or maybe Long slow XC ski depending on the time of year
Monday - Easy Run 5 Km or so followed by lots of stretching
Tuesday - Bike Power Workout 1 on the Trainer.
Wednesday - Lunch Strength Workout, Evening Medium Run - Roughly 10 km
Thursday - Lunch Double Poling Session, Evening Bike Power Workout 2
Friday - Easy Run
Saturday - Medium to Long Ride/Ski with some intensity depending on the week.
Thoughts?
It'll be interesting to see if this plan survives contact with reality. Working around my wife's schedule, and taking the kids to gymnastics, swimming and xc skiing in the winter is going to be a challenge. And the lunch workouts may suffer if work interrupts.
Maybe I need to go find some of those geeky triathletes to see what they do.
